This is the 24th #W2DTogether drawing challenge! We’ve officially been providing you with weekly drawing ideas for nearly half a year now, and it is amazing to see the progress everyone is making.

The Challenge

Challenge number 24: If 10-Year-Old You Saw This

Do you remember when drawing a decent eye felt like winning an award? Or when getting the proportions of a person almost right felt like pure magic? There was likely a time when you finished a sketch and stared at it for five full minutes, thinking: “I can’t believe I made this.”

This week’s challenge is about reconnecting with that feeling.

The Task: Draw something your younger self would look at and say: “Woooow… I did that??”

Think about the version of you who was just starting out, the one who struggled with hands, faces, shading, or even just drawing a simple tree. What piece of art would absolutely blow that version of you away?

Note: For this challenge, you can even share a drawing you’ve already made, as long as it fits the theme. If your younger self would be amazed by it, it counts!

How to Approach It

Identify Your “Boss” Level: What was the one thing you used to think was impossible to draw? Is it a realistic portrait? A complex cityscape? A dragon? Draw that.
Reflect on the Struggle: Think about the specific area where you’ve improved the most. Use this challenge to show off how much you’ve mastered that skill.
Visualize the Reaction: Imagine your 10-year-old self standing behind you as you draw. What are they most excited to see?

The Rules

Must be YOUR drawing.
Medium: Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital). No paintings.
No AI art.
Requirement: Share one drawing that would impress your younger self.
All skill levels welcome.
