Hi everyone! 🙂
Here is the 21st #W2DTogether drawing challenge! This series is all about providing you with a clear starting point so you don’t waste time wondering what to draw and can focus on actually drawing.
If you are new here and want to see our journey so far, check out all the previous challenges here.
The Challenge
Challenge number 21: Tattoo Design
This week’s challenge is intentionally a little “uncomfortable” on purpose. Imagine this scenario:
You have absolutely no choice. You are forced to get a tattoo! There are no negotiations and no excuses, even if tattoos are something you would never consider in real life. What would you choose to have permanently inked? What would it look like?
For those who aren’t into tattoos: This isn’t about whether you like tattoos or not. It’s a fun exercise in imagination and “choice under constraint.”
The Task: Your task is to draw the tattoo you would get if you were forced to choose one. It can be symbolic, abstract, minimal, dark, funny, emotional, or completely unexpected. It can be small or large, simple or detailed.
How to Approach It
-
Symbolism: Think about a symbol or image that represents a core part of your personality or a major life event.
-
Placement: Where would you put it? You can even include a sketch of the body part (like an arm or wrist) to show how it would look “framed.”
-
Style: From traditional “old school” designs to delicate fine-line work or bold tribal patterns, pick a style that fits your aesthetic.
The Rules
-
Must be YOUR drawing.
-
Medium: Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital). No paintings.
-
No AI art.
-
Requirement: Share one drawing of the tattoo you would choose.
-
All skill levels welcome.
