Original Run: Sunday, January 18, 2026 – Sunday, January 25, 2026
Hi everyone! 🙂
We’re now heading into Week 19 of the #W2DTogether drawing challenge. This weekly series is designed to help you beat art block, find drawing ideas fast, and keep drawing consistently.
Every drawing makes you feel something, even if it is subtle. This week, the goal is to capture a feeling so clearly that the moment someone looks at your drawing, they feel it too.
If you are new here and want to see our journey so far, check out all the previous challenges here.
The Challenge
Challenge number 19: Capture Feelings
Your task this week is to choose at least one feeling from the list below and translate it into a visual form:
-
Sadness
-
Happiness
-
Loneliness
-
Peace
-
Fear
-
Anger
-
Cuteness
-
Love
The Creative Goal: You can express the feeling in different ways, it doesn’t have to be a literal face. Think about:
-
Body Language: A slumped posture for sadness or a relaxed lean for peace.
-
Objects & Scenes: A cute animal that makes you go “aww,” or a long shadow that represents fear.
-
Atmosphere: A quiet, empty sunset for loneliness or a vibrant, messy scene for happiness.
You can focus on just one emotion, combine multiple feelings in one drawing, or even do a series of sketches for each one!
How to Approach It
-
Go Beyond the Expression: Instead of just drawing a “crying face” for sadness, try drawing a quiet room or a rainy window. It just needs to capture the feeling, so try to be as creative as possible.
-
Color & Line: Think about how sharp, jagged lines might represent anger, while soft, rounded lines fit cuteness.
-
First Instinct: Which of these words triggers an image in your mind right away? You can start there.
The Rules
-
Must be YOUR drawing.
-
Medium: Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital). No paintings.
-
No AI art.
-
Requirement: Share one drawing that captures at least one of the feelings mentioned.
-
All skill levels welcome.
