Hi everyone! 🙂
We’re now heading into Week 18 of the #W2DTogether drawing challenge. This is a weekly series designed to help you beat art block, find drawing ideas fast, and keep you drawing consistently.
If you are new here and want to see our journey so far, check out all the previous challenges here.
The Challenge
Challenge number 18: Obsession
Everyone is obsessed with something. Sometimes it’s a positive drive, and sometimes it’s a struggle, but in my opinion, everyone has at least one thing that occupies their mind.
The Task: Your challenge this week is to create one drawing that represents at least one obsession. It could be an obsession with:
- A Person or a Goal
- A Habit or Routine (Like a morning tea or a specific workout)
- Perfection or Control
- A Hobby or Franchise (A book, movie or game)
- A feeling or idea
- A Struggle (Something you wish you weren’t obsessed with, like procrastinating or a bad habit)
If you have more than one, even better! Try to include them all in a single composition. You can go for a realistic scene or even a “doodle-style” collage, whatever fits your way of expressing it.
How to Approach It
-
Be Honest: The most powerful drawings in this challenge come from being real about what’s on your mind.
-
Symbolism: You don’t have to draw the thing itself. You can draw how it feels to be obsessed: the focus, the weight, or the repetition.
-
Composition: If you’re including multiple obsessions, think about how they overlap or compete for space in your drawing.
The Rules
-
Must be YOUR drawing.
-
Medium: Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital). No paintings.
-
No AI art.
-
Requirement: Share one drawing that represents at least one of your obsessions.
-
All skill levels welcome.
