The Challenge

Challenge number 9: Turn a Meme into Art

Your task this week is to draw a meme or a gif! It can be any meme you love, one that made you laugh, one that you share all the time, or even one that you think deserves to be reimagined in your own signature style.

The Creative Goal: The fun part is taking something digital and viral and translating it into a physical or digital drawing. You can:

Redraw a classic meme of your choice.
Reimagine a Gif: Capture the motion and energy of a favorite reaction gif in a single frame or draw simply in your own art style.
Make it Art-Related: Create a meme that only fellow artists would understand.

How to Approach It

Don’t feel pressured to make it look exactly like the original image. The goal is to see your “artist’s take” on the meme.

Exaggerate: Memes are all about expression. Don’t be afraid to push the facial expressions or the absurdity of the scene.
Personal Style: Use your favorite medium, whether that’s clean line art, messy charcoal, or vibrant digital colors, to give the meme a new life.

The Rules

Must be YOUR drawing.
Medium: Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital). No paintings.
No AI art.
All skill levels welcome: From “stick-figure funny” to professional-grade humor.
Requirement: Share the original meme alongside your drawing so we can see the transformation!
